The difference between the engine of an excavator and a car

Date: Aug 24, 2022 Font Size:
Car engine: The cooling condition of the car engine is relatively complex, and it needs to face long-distance uphill and downhill, strict requirements on emissions and noise, and high requirements for economical use.

Excavator engine: requires continuous constant power, many operating conditions, and requires high reliability of continuous operation; low requirements for acceleration performance, basically high-speed operation conditions, high requirements for cooling performance, and low requirements for emissions.

Both machines have different characteristics ↓

1. The calibration speed is different:

The calibration speed of the car engine is high, because the car machine does not often run in the high-speed area for a long time, while the industrial machine needs to run in the high-speed area frequently;

2. Different noise reduction requirements:

Automobile engines have high requirements for noise reduction, and noise emissions can often be reduced in terms of noise reduction and noise shielding of exhaust emissions. As long as the noise does not exceed the standard, it can pass the acceptance. The excavator engine is not strict in this regard, and with the sound of rumbling, it is only energetic to work!

3. Different weight requirements of the machine:

For the power and weight ratio of the machine, the car requires a smooth and light driving, so the vehicle machine requires light weight to reduce the curb weight of the car and reduce fuel consumption. However, the excavator does not have high requirements on this point due to the work demand, and sometimes even needs to increase the counterweight.
