A new excavator or an overhauled excavator must go through a period of trial operation, usually called the running-in period. The purpose of running-in is to prevent the early wear of the excavator and prolong the service life of the excavator. During the break-in period of the excavator, the following regulations must be strictly implemented:

(1) The excavator performing the run-in period should hang a sign with the words "run-in period" in a conspicuous place, so that the relevant personnel can pay attention to the use regulations of the run-in period, and remove it after the run-in period expires.

(2) During the running-in period, the engine should be decelerated by 30%, and the deceleration load should be operated by 20%-30%. No one may remove the lead seal of the engine speed-limiting device. After the running-in period expires, it can be removed under the supervision of technicians.

(3) It is strictly forbidden to slam the accelerator when starting the engine. When the engine is started at low temperature, it should be warmed up for 20-50 seconds, and then start immediately. After the engine is started, idle for 3-5 minutes, and the speed and load can be increased only when the cooling water temperature rises to 40 degrees.

(4) The technical preparations before the engine is started, the technical requirements during operation, and the technical work before the stop and after the flameout, etc., shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the general mechanical operation regulations or the engine instruction manual.

(5) The excavator should excavate loose soil in the first 30 or 50 hours of the running-in period, and each time the loading is 1/2 of the bucket capacity, and the loading amount can be gradually increased in the next 70 or 50 hours, but the bucket capacity shall not be exceeded. 3/4 of , and reduce the operating speed appropriately.

(6) During the running-in period, you should always pay attention to the operation of each mechanism of the excavator, check the working temperature of each bearing, gear and friction pair, and observe whether there is leakage in the hydraulic system. The abnormal phenomenon in operation should be stopped immediately to check the cause and eliminate it.

(7) After the running-in period expires, check, adjust and lubricate each part of the excavator according to the operation during the running-in period. At the same time, check the cleanliness of each gear box lubricating oil and hydraulic oil tank hydraulic oil, and replace if necessary.

(8) Technicians should strengthen the technical management of the excavator running-in period. Before the excavator running-in period, the requirements and precautions during the running-in period should be clearly explained to the operator; during the running-in period, the use and operation of the excavator should be checked in detail and carefully. . Fill in the excavator running-in period use record form truthfully. After the excavator running-in period expires, the competent technical personnel will review the record form and include it in the excavator technical file.
